About the event
Mending Broken Hearts Dinner was designed to provide a platform for those who would like assist in ending senseless killings involving police officers. On July 7, 2017, Dallas, Texas and America Law Enforcement nationally was shaken at the core.
On that bloody day four Dallas Police officers and one Dart officer were killed and many others were physically injured and countless Americans were affected mentally. So often after tragedy we ask ourselves why? Let’s try to get to the root of the problem and prevent this type of loss in the future.
Events that occurred immediately before the shooting:
• July 5th Alton Sterling was shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• July 6th Philado Castile was shot in Falcon Heights, Minnesota
• July 7th Dallas Officers Lorne Ahrens, Michael Smith, Michael Smith, Brent Thompson and Patrick Zamarripa were killed in
Downtown Dallas
